Gems (2019)

In an African mine in 2010, two miners discover a black opal, which is very rarely found during excavations. This is a very valuable find and it represents an important source of worship for collectors and jewelers. Howard Ratner owns a prestigious jewelry boutique and is not averse to taking such a priceless specimen to himself in order to become the happy owner of such a treasure. But there is one thing, but in appearance he seems to be a man who does not have any problems at all, but in fact, the man is insanely deeply mired in gambling debts, and his family is in complete disarray, his wife wants to leave him, and his mistress madly drives him crazy with her antics.

Howard's debts are just driving him crazy, he tries to find a way to pay them off and for this he decides to buy the opal, and then resell it at auction for a lot of money. When the stone was in his store, a basketball star, Kevin Garnett, comes to him. Seeing the opal, he instantly loses his head and begins tearfully asking Ratner to lend him a valuable stone to participate in the upcoming tournament. The basketball player thinks that this will allow him to grab luck, and as a pledge he leaves the ring of the Celtics champion, which will bring the main character great luck in making a profit.
