The Hoot Owl (2022)

April and Scott, a young couple whose marriage has recently been rocked by tragedy, are trying to start over by buying an abandoned house deep in the forests of East Texas. A weekend of renovation and reuniting with April's estranged younger sister Susie and Scott's longtime friend Drew turns into a struggle for survival when the original owners of the house return. As the number of people killed grows, April is forced not only to survive, but also to help continue the family line of incest and cruelty, which leads her to the brink of madness and joy that lie beyond it.
