The whole problem is that it is the CIA special unit headed by Ethan Hunt that is being blamed for what happened. After all, at the moment we are talking about the fact that there may be a development of military aggression between Russia and the United States. Therefore, the US authorities decide first of all to liquidate the squad. Now the squad will have to prove their innocence and find the very instigator of the terrorist attack themselves.
