Day Shift

San Fernando Valley. In appearance, Bud Jablonski is an ordinary pool cleaner, but in fact he tracks down and kills vampires, and also rips out their fangs in order to sell them more profitably later.

Seeing a man coming out of a nearby house, pool cleaner Bud Jablonski silently bursts inside and is confronted by two vampires, an elderly woman and a young man living there. After a long struggle, he kills the vampires and rips out their fangs. It turns out that Bud is not a pool cleaner, but a vampire hunter.

Bud tries to sell the fangs at a pawnshop, but the prices offered by Troy, the pawnshop owner, are not enough to help him with his money problems. Bud's ex-wife plans to move to Florida with their daughter, who attends a high-paying private school. To pay for her education and buy braces for her daughter, Bud is forced to return to the vampire Hunters union.

Bud hires his friend John Elliott to help him re-join the union. Union boss Ralph Seeger initially refuses him, as he was previously kicked out of the union because of his risky and aggressive hunting style. In the end, he is given one last chance, but he must work under strict conditions. He should only work the day shift, which is poorly paid, and he should also be supervised by a union representative named Seth. Seth is tasked with looking for and reporting any violations committed by Bud. Meanwhile, a vampire named Audrey finds the vampires that Bud killed. In search of the man who killed the older of the two vampires, Audrey finds, tortures and interrogates Troy. Before she kills him, she reveals that humans worshipped vampires as gods, and she has plans to recreate the old hierarchy of "god worship".
