Broad Peak (2022)

The main character of the film "Broad Peak" based on real events is Polish climber Maciej Berbek, who managed to make the first winter ascent to the top of Broad Peak. This record was set in 1988, when, having escaped death at the last moment, Maciej managed to do the impossible. Andrzej Zavada, the head of the expedition, announced the success to the whole world. At home, Maciej and Andrzej declare that the record was not set, a mistake occurred – they managed to get only to the rocky peak, and it is twenty meters lower. Angered by such an impudent lie, the friends decided to leave mountaineering forever. A quarter of a century passes, one of the members of that expedition, Krzyszoft Velicki, calls his old friends and says that they need to finish what they started. After some hesitation, Maciej and Andrzej agree and go to the Himalayas.
