Barbarians (2020)

The plot of the film tells about the life of barbarians who are about to go through a difficult path, faced with a civilized and incredibly modified empire. It is not so easy to resist the authorities, who have already experienced a single conquest on a vast territory. But sometimes strength and intelligence are not able to resist the inner character of those who are trying to protect their native land and loved ones with all their capabilities. The Roman legions have no idea what they will have to face when their emperor decides to conquer the lands of the ancient Germans, who have incredible courage and fearlessness.

The action of this story takes place in the first century AD, when the famous battle took place in the Teutoburg forest. During this battle, the barbarians managed to destroy three Roman legions, which was an incredible event for the common people living in the forest thicket. The main plot will unfold around Arminius, as a child he was taken hostage by the militant Romans, but he was lucky not to be enslaved, but to become the adopted son of the famous commander Quintilius. When the main character had to go to his native lands as a conqueror, he had to choose between his father, the leader of a Germanic tribe, and Rome, where he was raised.
