Against All Odds (1984)

Terry Brogan was a successful footballer in the past, his talent was appreciated by many coaches of the world, but time passed and age at some point no longer allowed him to be in the very center of the game, to be agile and fast, and the mistakes made did not give him hope to return back to his favorite sport. Recently, the man was in great need of money and when he received an offer from an old acquaintance to follow his girlfriend, the main character immediately agreed. Jake's girlfriend, tired of constant claims, runs away to Mexico, hoping that he will not find her there.

Jesse's father, the owner of a football club, Terry knew about this and decided that as soon as he found the fugitive, he would try to influence her to ask a relative to give him a chance to return to professional football. When two people meet, a passion breaks out between them, instantly ceasing to be a romantic relationship. Brogan is happy with everything, but one day, the girl abruptly packs up and goes to Los Angeles, returning to her former lover. And then it begins to dawn on the man that all this was planned for a reason, but for some insidious purpose.
