UDOM, AKPABIO’S FIGHT DIVIDES COMMISSIONERS, LG CHAIRMEN; GODSWILL AKPABIO HAS LOST HIS POLITICAL RELEVANCE – EPHRAIM INYANG-EYEN
It is unfortunate that, one Gideon Ekere, Editor of The Post Newspaper is still in the murky business of lies, falsehood, blackmail and character assassination. His latest outing is published in the Wednesday, January 17,, 2018 edition of his newspaper. His banner headline reads; “Udom, Akpabio’s Fight Divides Commissioners, LG Chairmen”. It is accompanied with the riders, “Godswill Akpabio has lost his political relevance -Ephraim Inyangeyen”, “As Works Commissioner insists fmr Gov. Must go to jail for leaving over 500billion debt for Udom”.
The writer of the fake news claims that “the Works Commissioner, Akparawa Ephraim Inyangeyen has not taken it kindly with Akpabio. He kept on saying this thing that Akpabio has lost his political relevance as far as Akwa Ibom is concerned. The other day, he said it before Udom Emmanuel at Abuja and the governor never said anything. He even insisted that Akpabio must rot in jail after 2019. How he is going to do that, I don’t know. Even though I was once told that he and other commissioner still serving under Udom have been submitting documents to EFCC to prosecute Akpabio”.
The above story is a work of fiction and only exists in the head of the author of confusion. The scenario created is purely imaginary; as such event(s) never took place. At no point have I, Mr Ephraim Inyangeyen made any such statement credited to me, privately or publicly.
Gideon Ekere is either sponsored to instigate bad blood between the Senate Minority Leader, His Excellency, Chief Godswill Akpabio and us, the aides of Governor Udom Emmanuel or he (Gideon Ekere) is on a frolic of his own, in continuation of his serial lies and mudslinging.
I urge Akwa Ibom people and the general public to discountenance the story and commit it to flames. What matters to us as a people is that Governor Udom Emmanuel is working passionately to make Akwa Ibom State a better place and a destination for all. We can never be distracted. These malicious stories will not derail us from keeping our eyes on the ball as directed by His Excellency, the Governor.
God bless you.
Akparawa Ephraim Inyangeyen
Hon Commissioner, Ministry of Works
