On Sunday, 25th September, 2016, in a very scintillating and sparkling atmosphere, at the 10th Nigeria Media Nite-out Awards (NMNA) held in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, Akparawa Ephraim Inyang-eyen; the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Works, was among the cynosure of all eyes as he carted home befitting award to appraise his effort in his line of duty.
The awards night, which had as its theme: “Media, Technology and Change In Nigeria”, held at Times Square Arena, Ikeja, Lagos, was aimed at recognizing the outstanding achievements and efforts of individuals and organisations, who through a combination of personal qualities and exceptional skills, have made a significant contribution throughout their careers to the noble media profession.
Apart from the Commissioner Inyang-eyen, other recipients of the 10th NMNA awards include: Governors of Lagos and Osun States; Mr Akinwunmi Ambode and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbosola, the wife of Kogi State governor; Mrs Rashidat Bello and Senator Dino Melaye, among others.
Among all nominees in the country, Akparawa Ephraim Inyang, a strong force in Governor Udom Emmanuel’s cabinet was bestowed with an Award of Excellence for his overwhelming contribution to infrastructure in Akwa Ibom State.
“When the book on the achievements of each member of the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council is finally written, the name Ephraim Inyang-eyen will be prominent.
“This award is in appreciation of your forthrightness,passion, talent, ability, competencies, patriotism, zeal, loyalty and commitment to the development of infrastructure in your State; Akwa Ibom”, said the award organisers.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner was represented at the event by the Information officer, Ministry of Works; Mrs Ubong Ante.
