HON. ANIETIE EKA IS A “LIGHT” – Uyo Women
Following political intrigues over the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly seat for Uyo State Constituency scheduled for election next year, Etoi Clan women from all the wards described Hon. Anietie Eka as a “light” towards better representation.
The Clan women, whose visit caught the politician off guard said that they have paid Hon. Eka a surprise visit in order to pray for him.
They disclosed that they have declared today (2-03-2018) as a fast and prayer moment to pray for the success of Hon. Eka in his call to serve his people and deliver them from darkness, describing him as “the light”
In an emotional laden and spirit filled ceremony, the women who thronged Hon. Eka’s residence as early as 7.00am prayed for His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel to succeed and continue in his good work as the state executive officer and also prayed that God should grant them and the entire people of Uyo State Constituency the services of Hon. Anietie Eka whom they describe as the light at the end of the tunnel.
Receiving the Etoi Clan Women, Hon
. Anietie Eka and his lovely wife thanked the women for their love and care that they have showered on them, stating that “this is a blessed surprise”
The Ekas prayed, sang and danced with the women from the grass root in what could have been labeled “a Solemn Assembly”.
Hon. Eka, who is a Special Assistant to the governor on project expressed profound gratitude to the women for their spiritual insight and promised that the call of his people to serve them in whatever capacity will be favorable considered.
He used the occasion to address his supporters to be focused and ensure that they use their voters card wisely by printing their thumb for governor Udom Emmanuel in next year election.
It will be recalled that Hon. Anietie Eka has been inundated with calls and visits from groups, organizations, youths and elders in Uyo State Constituency to urge him to run for the Uyo State Constituency seat which will become vacant next year at the AKHA, particularly, as the slot favours Etoi Clan where Hon. Eka hails from.
