Gov Udom Orders Immediate Renovation of Dilapidated General Hospital in Oruk Anam

Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Wednesday, 24th August, 2016, visited the dilapidated General Hospital at Ikot Okoro, Oruk Anam LGA and ordered for an immediate renovation of the health facility which was built before Nigeria’s independence.

The governor was accompanied by distinguished sons and daughters of the State, including the leader of the State House of Assembly and member representing Oruk Anam State Constituency, Rt Hon Udo Kierian Akpan, some Commissioners in the State, amongst them; the Commissioner for Works, Akparawa Ephraim Inyang.

On the imperative of the visit, dignitaries who exchanged views with the reporter, including the State Commissioner for Works, Akparawa Ephraim Inyang, was of the opinion that good healthcare delivery is one of the top priorities of the Udom Emmanuel led administration.

  1. The only Governor and a leader Akwa Ibom state has produce since democracy in 2009. If we had this kind of selfless leader since 2009 to date, the state wouldn’t have been where it is today. But what we had mostly in the last eight years was a politician, an embezzler and to grant it all a partial governor. To asked, was this hospital, peacock paint factory and other industries that Udom revived were not in Akwa Ibom state during Gov. Udom predecessor administration? Or are they just descended from Heaven? This is the reason Nigerians should not be carried away with all these fraudsters. God be with you the people Governor.
