Former of Minister of Aviation and former Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani Kayode has said no part of the country ought to cry out and claim marginalization following the recent appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari because they voted for it.
Fani-Kayode stated this on Friday morning and lamented the lopsided appointments made by the President thus far adding that Nigerians have to live with the consequences of their choice in the next four years.
Buhari had on Wednesday approved the appointments of Babachir David Lawal as Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Abba Kyari as Chief of Staff to the President and Hameed Ibrahim Ali (as Comptroller-General Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, among others.
Earlier, Buhari had also made some major appointments that were dominated by northerners to the disadvantage of other regions in the country.
Theories abound saying these lopsided appointments are the outcome of the March 28 Presidential Election where the majority north voted for Buhari.
Apart from in Taraba, Buhari made a clean sweep of States in the N/East, N/West, and the S/West (except Ekiti).
In the N/Central, Buhari won all the States except Plateau and Nassarawa but he did not win a single State in the S/East and S/South regions.
The outcome of the election shows the far North, South-east, and South-south as unabashedly tribalistic going by voting patterns while the S/West and N/Central were more nationalistic, patriotic and libertarian in their voting pattern.
