Benjamin Udobia Doles out Scholarship to Students

Philanthropist Benjamin Udobia complements government effort by empowering students from Esit Eket extraction with scholarships on Monday.

Reaching out through his renowned socio-developmental group, Benjamin Udobia Foundation on Monday, 6th March, 2017, he doled out scholarship to ten tertiary students from Esit Eket local government area to ease their educational pursuits.

The Founder, Elder Benjamin Udobia, who was represented by the executive secretary of the foundation Mr Joe Udobia in his remarks, urged the lucky beneficiaries to use the scholarship funds judiciously, stressed that the foundation major goal is to reduce poverty likewise encouraged educational development.

The annual event which held at Eden Hotels and Suite witnessed the beneficiaries, board members of the foundation,Esit Eket PDP Chapter Youth Leader, Mr. Akan Etteudo and other invited guests.
While promising that by next year the number of beneficiaries will be increase to meet the yearning desires of young people.

He advised the beneficiaries to also be good citizens of the society as such will make justify the gesture of the scholarship, as they will serve as ambassadors for the foundation and the entire Esit Eket people. Udobia stressed that there is no substitution for hard work in the success equation.

Each benefiting student goes home with a 100,000 naira hoped to cover tuition fees.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Comrade Sylvanus Udoenoh, an Economic Student of Akwa Ibom State University lauded Elder Benjamin Udobia for his kind benevolence towards eradicating poverty and promoting educational development.
