…Bags 2nd Position with Made in A’Ibom Mobile Traffic Light

An Akwa Ibom tech entrepreneur, Engr. Ndotenyen Kingsley has made a name in the just concluded National
Technology and Innovation Expo 2018, organised by the federal government through the Ministry of Science and Technology, in Abuja, by clinching the second position with his mobile traffic light with defaulter alarm invention.
Engr. Kingsley, CEO of Alpha 1 Technical Services, an Uyo based engineering company, was presented with the second position award by the Minister for Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, Friday March 9, in Abuja. Dr Onu, who expressed joy at seeing such technological innovation in Nigeria.
Participants across the country, took part in the expo with over 2,000 signing up for the Technology Entrepreneurs Category, which the Akwa Ibom son emerged second best.
Speaking to newsmen, the Ini Local Government born electrical engineer expressed happiness on his success at the technology expo, attributing the feat to God and persistency. He explained that his drive to undertake the the first ever mobile traffic light system with defaulter alarm in this clime, was inspired by his interest in proffering solution through engineering.
He also expressed hope that transport stakeholders and government would see need to patronise his invention, while encouraging other young people to consider inventions that will lessen the dependency of Nigeria and Africa on the western countries.
