The many elucidatory texts and calls i have received reassured me that Friday iwok has embarked on a dangerous course that needs to be checked before he wrecks further havoc.
Friday iwok who had on 11 March 2017, singlehandedly zone the chairmanship position to a certain clan in lieu of anointing a candidate of his choice, even when the said area remain silent and the political leader of Abak, the deputy governor and other political bigwigs not making a speech to that issue.
For the sake of putting record straight I will dwell much in his gaffe.
1. That zoning is usually between eastern Annang and Abak urban since Abak was created
2. The zoning can’t be jettisoned because he wants to project Jude Edem as chairman so that Jude in turn will support his house of representatives election.
His recent gaffe coming on the heel of a rebuttal put up by him and claiming to be a progressive minded fellow has prove contrary to that fact and claims by him that a fast resort providing employment to indigene is detrimental to the community is a testament of a man who has lost touch with modern day development tentacle and still dwell in that old primitive mindset.
This gaffe begs for answers to these questions?
1. WHO IS RT. HON FRIDAY IWOK AFRAID OF?
2. WHO MADE HIM A POLITICAL LEADER IN ABAK?
3. IS HE BIGGER THAN THE PARTY?
Friday Iwok might be playing the type of politics which he believe would make him to be counted among the new thinkers. His recent gaffe was not just an act of greed and hate cause he has no moral right to discuss zoning which he flouted in 2015 when he contested thé house of assembly seat which would have gone to Midim or Ediene.
Like in 2012, despite all resistance from now deputy governor against imposing Hon. Joseph ikpaisong on Abak people, he still went ahead with his plan, now he is planning to mortgage Abak to Jude Edem who is his preferred choice having been one of Friday Iwok’s major financier, for him to continue where ikpaisong stopped in selling Abak properties.
Friday iwok as a two term house member doesn’t have a constituency office and all calls for a briefing like in other constituencies has fallen in deaf ears. He has to be brought back into reality that the era of imposition is over in Abak as his plan will failed this time around.
Friday Iwok enough is enough!!!
